Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the S-3 of U S MARINE FORCES CYBERSPACE COMMAND, This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C.

Please see Additional Information section below.*** Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by .

Ability to provide oversight, coordination, and prioritization of daily operations, reporting, systems compliancy, cybersecurity workforce, information assurance, cybersecurity planning, and systems accreditation.

Capable of effectively responding to administrative, planning, and operational tasking. Able to handle personnel management and supervision, development of processes and procedures.

This position is within the Work Category Program Manager (Work Role Code: 801), at Work Level Senior, Series and Grade GG-2210-13.

The incumbent must obtain the required credentials within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for DCWF role of Program Manager, Work Role Code: 801/Program Manager, Work Level: Senior.

Major Duties:

  • You will Supervises the daily performance of the Cybersecurity section personnel to include Civil Service and Marines.
  • You will be responsible for the daily supervision of subordinates by providing guidance, resolving conflicts and grievances, setting daily task orders, recommending selections to fill vacancies
  • You will Performs all functions involved in the daily execution required for the defense of network services throughout the AOR by providing oversight, coordination, and prioritization of Cybersecurity daily operations.
  • You will develop a variety of correspondence e.g. command orders, directives, standard operating procedures, report briefing, point papers, positions paper, and talking papers, etc.).
  • You will Implements and oversees a cybersecurity workforce strategy that addresses cyber workforce training and development requirements outlined by DOD policies and guidelines
