Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team in an intelligence center that monitors current and emerging threats for the Department of Homeland Security, making sure all research and reports follow the rules and meet the needs of decision-makers.
A good fit would be someone with strong leadership experience in intelligence operations, who can manage people, coordinate with partners, and communicate complex information clearly to top officials.
It's a high-level supervisory role that requires handling urgent situations around the clock.
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence and Analysis, Current & Emerging Threats Center (CETC).
The primary purpose of this position is plans, organizes, and directs the activities of CETC, ensuring DHS CETC research and reporting activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Specialized Experience You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess the specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government or equivalent public/private sector experience performing duties such as: Planning, organizing, and directing the activities of an intelligence operations center.
Establishing and assessing policies, procedures, and metrics for intelligence research and reporting. Exercising full supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Coordinating and reviewing the workflow and products of a 24/7 intelligence watch team.
Maintaining liaison with internal and external partners to ensure integrated planning and information sharing; and preparing and presenting briefings, reports, and recommendations for senior leadership.
Experience must demonstrate expert knowledge of intelligence operations, leadership, strategic planning, policy development, and effective communication in a supervisory capacity.
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level. All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.

As a Supervisory Intelligence Operations Specialist, GS-0132-14, your typical work assignments may include: Plan, organize, and direct the activities of I&A, ensuring research and reporting activities comply with requirements and meet customer needs.
Establish and assess policies, procedures, and metrics for I&A research and reporting, revising as needed to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work.
Exercise full supervisory personnel management responsibilities, including hiring, performance management, training, discipline, and fostering an inclusive, discrimination-free work environment.
Coordinate and review the workflow, products, and daily functions of the 24/7 Intelligence Watch team, ensuring timely indications and warnings, briefings, and dissemination of intelligence products.
Maintain continuous liaison with IC organizations, DHS offices, and external partners to ensure integrated planning, resolve controversial matters, and promote information sharing.
Prepare and present briefings, reports, and recommendations for senior leadership, serving as the independent technical authority and representing the organization at high-level meetings and working groups.
