The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor and Robotic Automation Services Branch Chief for the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) Directorate for Technology and Information (DP0), providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory employees assigned to Robotic Automation Services.

Examples of specialized experience includes: Planning, organizing, and directing the functions of an organization, including mentoring, motivating, and appraising staff; leading teams on projects involving the analysis, development, testing, and implementation of new enterprise-level technologies for AFPC; analytically articulating and negotiating complex and sensitive issues with officials holding diverse or opposing viewpoints; supporting matrixed staff in the critical phases of development, testing, production, and sustainment of automation services; and demonstrating experience with automated data processing functions, techniques, and database principles as they apply to existing and future military and civilian systems.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and practices governing civilian and military personnel systems.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in automated data processing functions, techniques, and capabilities including database principles, with specific knowledge of existing and future military and civilian systems.
Skill in analytically articulating and negotiating complex and sensitive issues with officials of diverse perspectives and often with different or opposing views.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions, mentoring, motivation, appraisal, and staff of an organization, as well as support matrix staff in critical aspects of development, testing, production, and sustainment of automation services.
Ability to communicate effectively, clear, concise, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Robotic Automation Services, ensuring automations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Represents AFPC with a variety of installation and functional area organizations serving as AFPC Robotic Automation Services advocate and spokesperson to AF IT policy and automation decision-making agencies.
Responsible for integration and execution of all IT aspects of the assigned activity in concert with OSD, Air Force, and other service CIO, Robotic Automation Services, and HR staffs.
