Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the PROGRAM SUPPORT DIVISION, HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09 through GS-12) grade level or pay band (NM-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of Federal Staffing policy and procedures related to the competitive service; 2) Understanding of the Merit Systems Principles and Prohibited Personnel Practices; 3) Knowledge of Federal classification standards and pay setting procedures; 4) Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally to candidates, customers, employees, mangers, and executives.

  • You will be responsible for the oversight and management of the Program Support Division for the Patuxent River Human Resources (HR) serviced customer population.
  • You will set the standard and strategic direction for the Division in providing oversight and accountability in the delivery of quality, value-added programs and services.
  • You will function as a technical expert in the assigned programs under the Division, providing expert consultancy, counsel, and/or instruction in response to HR questions and/or concerns.
  • You will work with corporate management to develop programs to meet organizational needs or solve continuing problems.
  • You will maintain full delegated classification authority in all NAVAIR associated personnel systems, including GS, FWS, STRL, and AcqDemo systems.
  • You will supervise and provide oversight of a staff of human resources specialists in the operational aspects of human resources management.
