Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team that issues ID cards and ensures military personnel, their families, and authorized civilians receive proper Department of Defense benefits and credentials.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MIL) in the Installation Personnel Administration Center of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing customers with information regarding applicable rules, regulations, procedures, and requirements to include an explanation of required actions that must be completed; selecting, preparing, and issuing an organization's assets to eligible personnel; Updating and terminating credentials based on personnel changes.

  • You will supervise the issuance of DOD ID cards to eligible military personnel from all branches of services, dependents and other authorized DOD civilian personnel (appropriated and non- appropriated fund) .
  • You will ensure uniformed service members receive the Department of Defense (DOD) benefits which they are entitled.
  • You will interview customers in order to obtain information required to issue ID Cards and obtain data from previously completed files and record.
  • You will oversee the proper handling and disposal of all returned ID cards in accordance with the applicable directives.
  • You will evaluates work performance and prepare formal evaluations of employee's performance.
  • You will identify developmental and training needs of employees, and provide or arrange for training.
