Full Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Service Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: Fort Bliss supports over 30,000 troops, and has undergone the largest post expansion in the Army.

It is the home of the 1st Armored Division, FORSCOM deployable units, and has a full scope of base support elements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Developing policies for aspects of a housing program; 2) Performing periodic scheduled surveys such as audits, reviews, studies, and inspections to determine family housing conditions or requirements; 3) Ensuring housing programs and community assets are in compliance with established housing policies.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Major Duties:

  • Responsible for data accuracy of a variety of reports pertinent to availability of housing, military and civilian personnel.
  • Prepares and presents effective, accurate, and complete briefings, information, and correspondence.
  • Ensures the technical direction and contract performance are in compliance with the installation’s mission.
