About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Health System Specialist providing technical and administrative supervision to civilian and military employees assigned to the organization.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing and evaluating clinical and administrative healthcare operations by collecting, extracting, and interpreting data from multiple information systems to assess program effectiveness and develop performance metrics; conducting comprehensive management studies and organizational assessments to identify operational deficiencies and improve processes; and preparing detailed analytical reports and executive briefings to support leadership decision-making, enhance clinic productivity, and ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and policies.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Major Duties:

  • Performs essential Program Management functions, overseeing analysts, a centralized template management cell, centralized referral processes, and a call center that appoints beneficiaries to primary and specialty care clinics.
  • Manages the clinical aspects of training and proficiency-enhancement seminars focused on the continued education of Administrative Officers, Group Practice Managers, Medical Support Assistants, and clinic leaders.
  • Provides direct oversight of the appointing program manager and system administrator for the CISCO Automatic Call Distribution appointing system, the Military Health System Genesis Patient Portal, and the Interactive Customer Evaluation Portal.
  • Directly supervises and rates assigned non-supervisory personnel and provides technical and administrative oversight to subordinate supervisors across the Medical Department Activity Bavaria footprint.
  • Evaluates manpower structure compared to resource requirements and develops support plans to adjust organizational structure as needed.
