Full Job Description

You will serve as Senior Scientific Technical Manager (SSTM) for the Test Engineering Department of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.

The Secretary of War has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze.

TQ#2: Capability to lead multiple and/or diverse teams representing T&E interests in DoN/DoW to ensure adherence to premiere and innovative test, evaluation and experimentation as vigilant advocates of the warfighter.

  • You will oversee the entire Test Engineering workforce across all Navy and Marine Corps test teams on the East Coast.
  • You will serve as the Senior Technical Expert for all engineering domains, across Aeromechanics, Structures, Propulsion, Aircraft Subsystems, Avionics, Mission Systems, Weapons Integration, Carrier Suitability, and Interoperability Test.
  • You will be responsible for managing personnel skills, processes, and resources, as well as overall technical conduct of the Department.
  • You will manage the financial resources and direct the technical work of engineers for testing tasks.
  • You will develop a broad-scope Test and Evaluation strategy that aligns with DoW, Navy, and NAWCAD current and future mission requirements, skills, and capacity.
