Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the PRODUCTION FACILITY & PLAN EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION - 900F of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer providing oversight and technical direction of engineering projects for the development, implementation, and evaluation of facilities and equipment repair or maintenance work within a naval shipyard.

  • You will plan overall work operations, set priorities, and establish objectives with subordinate project engineers and teams.
  • You will advise higher level management officials on problems involving the relationships of the operations supervised to broader programs and their impact on such programs.
  • You will evaluate the effectiveness of operations supervised in terms of mission accomplishment, quality and quantity standards, procedural, policy and regulatory compliance, and technical competence.
  • You will design, develop, initiate, monitor, assess and implement policies, programs, and controls which will enable the branch to have the capacity and capability needed to provide products and services in compliance with requirements.
  • You will review work products of subordinates and accept, amend or reject work.
  • You will serve as senior technical advisor on facilities engineering design matters and projects.
  • You will exercise both administrative and technical supervision over subordinates for general engineering facilities work.
