In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing senior managerial input and technical oversight on facilities design, construction, and contracts; coordinating design development to ensure customer requirements are satisfied; advising management on engineering design matters and problems; and providing technical recommendations to solve complex engineering problems.

  • You will be responsible for management and technical control of the Design, Maintenance Operations, Facilities Support Contracts, Utilities and Administrative branches.
  • You will administer Architect-Engineer contracts for design and technical related studies and prepare correspondence, technical reports, estimates, fact sheets, status reports, and schedules as required to complete project assignments.
  • You will consult with others to resolve unforeseen problems developing during construction and prepare sketches or change drawing specifications to solve the problem and provide technical recommendations as required.
  • You will adjust resources and expenditures to meet project deadlines and provide significant managerial input on construction programming, engineering, and facilities contracting.
  • You will plan and organize work and required schedules and manage positions to ensure maximum productivity.
  • You will select, assign, appraise, train and develop employees and manage general project parameters, such as scope and budget.
