Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of engineers and specialists in a naval oceanographic facility, where you'll assign projects, oversee daily operations, manage budgets, and ensure high-quality engineering work.

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Plan, distribute, coordinate, and monitor work assignments of others; evaluate work performance and provide feedback to others on their performance; ensure that staff are appropriately selected, utilized, and developed, and treated in a fair and equitable manner.
Experience with application of systems engineering design and development methodologies, paradigms, tools, and metrics over the lifecycle to optimize value.
Apply principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing engineering projects and resources, including technical performance.
Prepare, justify, and administer the program budget.
Apply sound resource management principles, business or industry best practices, and applicable policies, regulations, and laws to support operations.
Align resources with policy and strategic direction and priorities. Oversee procurement and contracting to achieve desired results. Monitor expenditures and use cost-benefit thinking to set priorities.
