Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

This job involves leading a team of engineers and technicians in a Navy lab focused on precise measurements for aircraft and equipment, ensuring everything is calibrated accurately and up to standards.
You'll oversee projects, mentor staff, and handle technical details like uncertainty in measurements to support fleet readiness.

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the METEROLOGY DIVISION in the RESEARCH AND INTELLIGENCE DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Expertise across a wide range of measurement areas, including both electrical and mechanical systems. 2.
Extensive experience in measurement uncertainty analysis, including generating uncertainty budgets and calculating PFA/PFR. 3.
Experience with calibration and metrology programs is essential, particularly in providing both interim and permanent guidance to support shops in establishing and maintaining calibration capabilities.
4. Strong workload management skills, with the ability to coordinate and balance tasks effectively based on priority and risk management considerations. 5.
Training and mentoring peers or subordinate in the calibration and metrology field..
