This announcement will be used to fill positions with an entry grade of GS-09 or GS-11 with a target grade of GS-11. The minimum salary for grade GS-09 is $64,406, the maximum salary is $83,733.
The minimum salary for grade GS-11 is $77,926, the maximum salary is $101,309.
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-07 for GS-09, or GS-09 for GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
For GS-09: Specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level is defined as: Performing financial management data analysis; creating recommendations for business process improvements; and providing customer support for an automated accounting or financial management system.
For GS-11: Specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level is defined as: Planning, scheduling and conducting reviews and evaluations on financial management data analysis; analyzing issues or problems, selecting and applying appropriate analytical techniques and methods in order to recommend solutions or improvements to organizational functions.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
For GS-09: Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher grade in Federal Service. For GS-11: Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in Federal Service.
** The effective date of your SF-50 must reflect that you will meet the 52-week time in grade requirement within 30 days of the announcement closing.
** You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program as a condition of employment.
If you are selected, you will have to obtain this certification within two (2) years of your entry on duty in the position unless you are already in a position that requires a Level 2 Certification in which case you must complete the certification within the original 2-year period.
Failure to become certified within the required time-frame may be grounds for removal from the position and/or from Federal service.
