Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

This role involves leading a team of financial experts at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, acting as the top authority on complex federal money matters, and managing big financial programs to improve processes and solve tough problems.
It also includes creating policies, overseeing automation tools, and working closely with high-level leaders from the military and other agencies to meet important goals.

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience leading a team of financial professionals while simultaneously serving as the final technical authority on complex federal financial management principles to resolve unprecedented and controversial issues.
This experience must also include managing the full lifecycle of major financial programs to drive significant process improvements, and representing the organization to influence and negotiate with high-level stakeholders (such as senior military or civilian leaders in other agencies) to achieve strategic objectives.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in Federal Service.
