Summary

This job involves overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a military health clinic, including managing staff, contracts, budgets, and ensuring everything meets safety and quality standards for patient care.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes managing Medical facilities, joint commissions audits, schedules, utilities management, safety, custodial services, maintenance contracts, and service orders; tracking program funding and providing feedback to the senior management on budget execution; and conducting inspections of contracted work and implementing any corrective actions, implementing Joint Commission duties to ensure compliance with medical facility standards through meticulous inspections and thorough audits.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Facilities Management Facilities Operations and Maintenance Facilities Procurement and Contract Management Human Resources Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major Duties:

  • Offer guidance to employees concerning policies and procedures.
  • Organize and synchronize all work needs and projects to uphold the maintenance of patient care buildings.
  • Act as a facility specialist overseeing the operations, maintenance, repair, and improvement of the Medical Center's property facilities.
  • Develop initial project scopes, descriptions, and justifications for essential facility modifications.
  • Supervise contracted technical maintenance services to ensure the effective performance of major and highly complex systems.
