Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of engineers and geologists in managing the Navy's environmental cleanup programs, including overseeing budgets, contracts, and compliance with laws to restore polluted sites.
It requires supervising around 30 staff members and representing the agency in high-level discussions.
A good fit would be an experienced professional engineer or geologist with strong leadership skills and a background in environmental regulations and project management.
You will serve as a Environmental Restoration Program (ERP) Product Line Leader (PLL) in the Environmental Business Line of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.
This is an interdisciplinary position and will be filled as a Supervisory Environmental Engineer (0819) or Supervisory Geologist (1350).
This position has a selective placement factor for the 0819 series, Professional Environmental Engineer and/or 1350 series, Professional Geologist, which is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Geologist if applying for the 1350 series or You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) if applying for the 0819 series.
Your license must be held in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

In addition to the Basic Requirements and SPF for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1.
Perform all supervisory personnel functions and administrative requirements to manage multiple personnel disciplines and expertise. 2.
Serve as a subject matter expert on environmental laws and regulations, manage all regulatory communications and negotiations. 3.
Assist in the development of Strategic Business Plans, Concept of Operations, Environmental Business Plan, the Annual Execution Plan, and Annual Environmental Report to Congress, defines workload and supports development of the Resource Allocation Plan (RAP) for the Product Line.
4. Manage execution of Environmental Restoration, Navy (ER,N) program funds and other assigned program funds (e.g., Mission, BRAC Restoration, NWCF, and other reimbursable funds). 5.
Develop acquisition strategies to ensure adequate contracting tools are available to execute programs for the ERP.
