Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER / BIOLOGICAL SCIENTIST / GEOLOGIST / GENERAL PHYSICAL SCIENTIST in the Various Public Works Department of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1.
Coordinating regulatory compliance for the command while managing environmental programs. 2. Interpret environmental laws, regulations and policies to ensure technical compliance with regulations.3.
Serve as primary consultant on environmental matters (e.g. air, land, water pollution control).4. Interfacing with federal/government, command personnel to ensure a safe and healthy environment. 5.
Oversees development and maintenance of a broad and progressive Environmental Management System. 6.
Prepares and submits programming, budgeting, execution information for the Environmental Division using the Environmental Program Requirements Web. 7.
Direct investigations of environmental compliance to mitigate issues found. 8.
Coaching and mentoring personnel to accept changes in procedures and policies in light of organizational conflict, competing objectives, or resource limitations. 9.
Manage the development of command policy in response to changes in environmental laws and regulations.10. Develop instructions and notices to ensure full compliance with environmental laws.
