You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Provides technical advice on preparedness to eliminate damages associated with natural and manmade disasters; Develops plans to ensure capability to continue essential functions during emergencies and hazardous conditions; Advises on facility plans, security staffing, equipment, the design, modification, and/or construction of workplaces processes, or products to minimize or eliminate all hazards and threats.

Assesses, inspects and evaluates emergency management processes, plans, standard operating procedures, or guidance with established emergency management directives, regulations, policies, standards and guidance.

Major Duties:

  • As a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist, at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Serves as Occupant Emergency Program Manager for the Safety and Occupational Health Division (SOHD) at ICE programs within a large region of the United States encompassing multiple States and Overseas locations; Plans, organizes, and oversees efforts and projects that are aimed at achieving and improving the quality, effectiveness, and timeliness of program accomplishment; Serves as a senior advisor to management and executive leadership on developing and implementing strategic plans in support of achieving the program objectives; AND Manages short- and long-range planning activities that include multi-year work plans that are the products of subordinate organizational projects/programs.
