This job involves leading a team that oversees complex contracts for naval engineering projects in Europe, Africa, and Central Asia, based in Italy.
You'll manage high-value, multi-year deals, ensure compliance with rules, and negotiate with governments and businesses.

This position serves as Director, People and Processes Division, Acquisition Support Line within the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Europe, Africa, Central (NAVFAC EURAFCENT) and is a senior supervisory contract specialist in Capodichino, Italy.

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing knowledge of acquisition planning to manage complex, high dollar value, multi-year contracts; 2) Planning and managing contracting actions utilizing contracting laws, principles, and regulations; 3) Reviewing and approving price analyses, procurement objectives, contract changes, deviations, and work statements prior to issuance of solicitations; and 4) Conducting contract negotiations and pre-approval conferences with U.S government, foreign government, business and industry representative at an executive level.
