Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of 10-15 accountants who handle financial services for multiple military installations, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring accurate accounting practices.
It requires applying professional accounting principles to analyze financial data, review records, and act as the main contact for accounting issues.
A good fit would be someone with a strong accounting background, leadership experience in finance, and the ability to manage teams in a government or military setting.
This position is located at Defense Finance and Accounting Service - Texarkana. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).
Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1.
Two years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR 2.
One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in a senior or supervisory accountant capacity. PLUS 1.
In addition to 1 or 2 above, possess a four-year degree in accounting or related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting.
OR 2.
Four years' experience in accounting or combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge and included one of the following: 24 semester hours in accounting or auditing courses Certificate as Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor A four-year degree from an accredited college which includes a minimum of 15 semester hours in accounting and auditing.
