Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a supervisor in the Navy's contracting department, where you'll oversee the entire process of buying goods and services for the military, from planning deals to finalizing them, while leading a team of contract specialists.
It involves managing complex purchases, training staff, and ensuring projects stay on track.
A good fit would be someone with experience in government contracting who enjoys leading teams and handling detailed negotiations.
You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the CONTRACTS (20000) of NIWC ATLANTIC.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing the full contracting lifecycle and overseeing complex contract acquisitions, including planning, negotiation, administration, and closeout.
Supervising staff, ensuring workload balance, and maintaining progress toward milestones.
