Job Description

Summary

This job is for a supervisor in a naval command division that handles intelligence and command systems, focusing on managing IT projects, acquisitions, and team personnel like hiring and performance reviews.

Key Requirements

  • Skills in resolving complex business problems and collaborating with leadership, finance, contracts, and legal teams
  • Experience establishing and monitoring policies for administrative functions and hiring technical/engineering staff

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the COMMAND AND INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS DIVISON, CODE 532 of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band NM-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical or project management oversight; knowledge of Command and Intelligence systems; knowledge of personnel management processes (i.e.

hiring, promotions, awards, etc.) and assessing employees' performance.

  • You will will manage and provide direct support for acquisitions that develop, manage, field, and sustain IT hardware and software, including National Security Systems and IT Service Contracts.
  • You will will resolve complex business problems that arise during the execution of technical projects in collaboration with division/department leadership and internal business partners (e.g., finance, contracts, legal).
  • You will investigate established policies and procedures; inform employees on options and courses(s) of action; and ensure the uniform application of these rules across the division.
  • You will establish, communicate, and monitor adherence to 5.3 policies and procedures across a range of administrative functions. Establish and direct division hiring policies for critical technical and engineering skills.
  • You will lead or participate in division/department/Center councils, special projects, and/or Enterprise-level working groups. Will participate in strategic planning efforts with impact across the division/department/Center.
