Summary

This job involves handling everyday clerical tasks in a community supervision department, such as answering phones, managing sensitive case data, and processing payments for court-ordered funds.

It supports the operations of supervising individuals in the justice system by directing people, maintaining records, and ensuring office efficiency.

Requirements

  1. Assists in answering multiline phones and working reception desks and communicates professionally with individuals under supervision, members of the public, CSCD staff, court staff, government agencies and other individuals.
  2. Using County and CSCD computer information, determines the correct status of individuals under supervision and the appropriate routing of cases.
  3. Assists with entering data and scanning documents into the case management system of a highly sensitive nature and maintains its confidentiality in accordance with the CSCD policy.
  4. Maintains and troubleshoots officer equipment and coordinates with service providers.
  5. Stocks and maintains office supplies and forms.
  6. Directs individuals under supervision and others to the appropriate office or individual.
  7. Accepts and records receipts of court ordered funds, research account discrepancies, maintains balances, prepares deposits, researches and locates victim information for restitution payments and applies payments appropriately.
  8. Maintains security of received monies.
  9. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years related experience.

  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of office procedures.

  • Ability to use personal computer, utilizing word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Additional Information

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, walk, climb, stoop, lift, push and pull.
