This role involves working as a substitute mentor for families with deaf or hard-of-hearing infants and toddlers, providing home visits to teach about Deaf culture and model activities that support child development.
You'll help parents connect with community events and answer their questions with sensitivity and respect.

Additional Information Some positions require considerable & strenuous physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, etc, and recurring lifting.Risks found in potentially dangerous or unusual environmental stress situations, e.g.
being subject to possible physical attack, etc.
Risks are related to the possibility of working with students who are non-compliant, self-abusive, and/or aggressive.American Sign Language (ASL) skills required for some deaf/hard-of-hearing classes.Must pass a thorough background investigation.These positions are on an as needed basis only.
