In this role, you will help ensure efficient and effective operations by performing a variety of storeroom functions and providing technical assistance in the review, analysis, and development of maintenance activities. Requirements

In this role, you will help keep PennDOT’s operations running smoothly by managing inventory, receiving materials, and supporting storeroom functions that are essential to maintenance work across the county.

You will recommend reorder adjustments based on usage, prepare requisitions, and track the status of parts and supplies.

You will also receive and inspect deliveries, accept or reject items based on specifications, and maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records.

You will unload delivery trucks using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring all materials are organized and stored properly.

Using SAP, you will receive and issue inventory items, transfer materials between locations, and maintain accurate PPE and consumable-use records.

Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will help ensure crews have the tools and materials they need to keep Pennsylvania’s roads safe and well-maintained.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work; and graduation from high school; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to operate a fork-lift, pallet mule, hand truck and other equipment to unload delivery truck(s) and to transport large inventory items.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
