We are looking for a dependable Statewide Special Project Apprenticeship & Training Representative to assist with a variety of outreach activities on behalf of the Apprenticeship and Training Office.

Requirements

As a Statewide Special Project Apprenticeship & Training Representative, you will be responsible for providing a variety of promotional and technical advisory duties within your assigned region. Work involves serving as the main provider of technical assistance to potential or existing registered apprenticeship/pre-apprenticeship program sponsors. This includes exploration and assessment of fit for apprenticeship, partnering, and building program structures and ecosystems; assisting with registration processes and preparation for program approval, proper launch, and maintenance of programs; conducting provisional and compliance reviews in accordance with policy requirements; as well as continuous assistance in program capacity building, review, and assessment.

Your work is dedicated to
directly and independently answering questions, concerns, and needs of leadership, funders, apprentices, sponsors, and partners. This includes but is not limited to answering questions posed around apprenticeship/pre-apprenticeship data and providing guidance to companies considered potentially interested in an apprenticeship or pre-apprenticeship program or those that have an existing program. You will have the opportunity to make direct recommendations which conform to PA and federal standards of Apprenticeship and regulations and which are aimed at serving the needs of local industries and local conditions.

Assigned areas of coverage include the following counties: Lycoming, Union, Snyder, Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Tioga, Sullivan, Bradford, Wyoming, Susquehanna, Luzerne, Schuylkill, Northampton, Lehigh, Berks, Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Delaware. Chester, Lancaster, Dauphin, Franklin, Perry, Cumberland, York, Juniata, Lebanon, Adams, Wayne, Lackawanna, Pike, Monroe, Carbon, Clinton, Centre, Mifflin, Elk, Clearfield, Potter, Jefferson, McKean, Cameron, Erie, Crawford, Warren, Venango, Forest, Clarion, Mercer, Lawrence, Butler, Armstrong, Indiana, Allegheny, Beaver, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, Fayette, Cambria, Somerset, Blair, Bedford, Huntingdon, and Fulton.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Headquarter location: Headquarter location will be set within a PA Careerlink® or L&I designated location in the designated coverage area based on the location of the chosen staff member and availability of office space.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to an approved location inside Pennsylvania. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Workforce Development Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of experience in performing technical work in a workforce development program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • This position requires federally compliant identification such as a U.S. Passport, REAL ID, or Military ID at the time of conditional job offer.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
