Requirements

In this role, you will oversee the running of the races along with two other Stewards and make decisions on all inquiries and objections on any occurrence happening during the running of the races and determine if there were any rule violations. The State Steward acts on the validity of claims of horses filed during the racing program and files a report with the Commission on the racing programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • This is a Per Diem position.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must possess ROAP (Racing Officials Accreditation Program) Steward Accreditation.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Post Employment Requirement:
  • A Commission Employee License is required for this position or will be obtained once hired.
