The Opportunity
WSDOT is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Engineer to serve as the State Documentation Engineer in Olympia, WA.
In this critical role, you will be recognized as WSDOT’s subject matter expert on administrative documentation and project closeout, providing advanced technical guidance on complex contract administration issues particularly those related to Division 1 of the Standard Specifications.
You will play a key role in ensuring consistency, compliance, and excellence across construction contracts statewide.
This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and influence agency practices by developing and implementing policies and procedures that support effective documentation and project delivery.
You will work closely with regional teams, offering direct consultation and problem-solving support to address challenging construction contract issues.
