Key Requirements

  • Completion of a psychiatry residency or training program meeting American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry certification standards
  • Active license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania from the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure or State Board of Osteopathic Examiners
  • Ability to conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose using DSM criteria, and prescribe treatment plans
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams, facilitating meetings, and developing individualized treatment strategies
  • Skills in analyzing consultations, lab results, and preparing reports, progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Full-time availability for 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with possible evenings, weekends, holidays on-call, and no telework
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived

Requirements

In this role, you will oversee the comprehensive assessment of all patients assigned to you, which includes conducting in-depth psychiatric evaluations and delivering diagnoses based on the latest criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association. Your responsibilities will encompass prescribing appropriate treatment plans and analyzing consultations, laboratory results, and other relevant findings. As the team leader, you will facilitate team meetings and develop individualized treatment strategies, collaborating with interdisciplinary staff to set treatment objectives and ensure the delivery of necessary therapeutic interventions. Furthermore, you will be tasked with preparing detailed reports on psychiatric evaluations, maintaining weekly and monthly progress notes, conducting monthly team reviews, revising treatment plans, and drafting discharge summaries. You will also engage in the community support planning process for all patients, creating discharge plans that include sustainable housing options and follow-up care to facilitate their reintegration into the community.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday on-call hours may be required. May change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime and travel: As needed
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.


Special Requirement:

  • This position requires the possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
