This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Coastal Empire Community Mental Health Center, 151 Dillon Road, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926.Hilton Head, SC, offers so much for you to experience; from its incredible nature (beaches, marshes), many outdoor activities (golf, biking, kayaking), strong sense of community, and resort-like resources combined with modern conveniences, make it ideal for families, retirees, and anyone seeking a relaxed or active coastal lifestyle along with low property taxes.
In this position, under general supervision of the Psychiatric Service Chief, you will exercise medical responsibility for area offices of Coastal Empire CMHC; interview, examine, diagnose, and treat a broad range of mental and emotional disorders in concert with a team approach with other mental health professionals by team staffing, case consultation, and medical record review.
Participate in area planning and problem-solving related to concerns of the Center regarding psychiatric coverage.
Responsibilities for the Psychiatrist include:Provide direct patient care in the form of psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and medication evaluation to patients served by Coastal Empire CMHC, in its clinics and in community facilities as appropriate.
Primary responsibilities are clinics as assigned by Psychiatric Service Chief. Serve on call (phone back up) in rotation with other psychiatrists as required.
