Requirements

As a Staff Physician 2, your primary responsibility will be to deliver medical care to the patients of Wernersville State Hospital.

Your work will involve treating physically ill patients and performing various medical tasks, including conducting physical and neurological examinations, formulating medical diagnoses, and identifying medical treatment requirements.

You will be responsible for ensuring the psychiatrist and treatment team are updated on patients with medical conditions and their ongoing treatments.

Additionally, you will attend medical staff and hospital committee meetings and participate in committee work as assigned.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime is required as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine.

Special Requirements:

  • You must be in possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Medicine Board, or the State Osteopathic Medicine Board.
