The Department of Human Services is seeking a skilled Staff Physician 2 to join our medical team at Torrance State Hospital.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients under your supervision, including conducting thorough evaluations, performing detailed medical examinations, and making accurate diagnoses.
You will prescribe appropriate treatment plans and interpret consultation reports, laboratory results, and other diagnostic findings.
Responsibilities will include delivering medical care to patients in assigned areas, conducting daily unit rounds, assessing and treating acutely ill or injured patients, and ordering necessary laboratory tests, imaging, and specialty consultations.
You will review and analyze diagnostic results and consultation reports and provide timely follow-up care as needed.
In addition, you will identify patients’ medical needs and coordinate transfers to acute care hospitals for emergency or non-emergency medical treatment when required.
