A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in physical education.
OR All of the following equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level: 1.
Experience managing or assisting in the delivery of a sports or physical education program which included both individual and team sports. 2.
Demonstrated knowledge of the skills and techniques needed for various sports. 3. Experience coaching or working with coaches to apply techniques and required skills/fundamentals for various sports.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Recommended highly-qualifying: In addition to meeting one of the requirements above, highly qualified candidates will possess experience working in a sports program specifically for children or youth; or at least 12 semester hours in college coursework directly related to children or youth (i.e., PE for children, motor skills development, childhood development, early/elementary/secondary education, health/nutrition for children, child/adolescent psychology, etc.).
