This job involves running a snack bar at a Navy movie theater, where you'll prepare and sell food items, handle ticket sales, manage cash transactions, and keep the area clean and welcoming for patrons.
It's a customer-facing role that requires staying organized during busy times and following safety and operational rules.
A good fit would be someone reliable, friendly, and comfortable with quick-paced service in a public setting.
This position is located in Morale, Welfare, and Recreation and the primary function of the incumbent is to perform duties involving the operation of the snack bar, to sell movie tickets and to ensure cleanliness of the snack bar, lobby, ticket booth and restrooms during the normal operation of the NASWI movie theater.
Must have a good knowledge of daily theater operation. Must have good customer service skills.
Working knowledge of cash register operation (cash handling) Must be neat in appearance with the ability to handle the public in large numbers. Major Duties:
Ensure that proper uniform is worn while on duty. Ensure that assigned change fund is maintained at proper limit and is properly secured at all times.
Ensure the proper preparation, display, and price of food items and specials and adhere to correct receipt and pricing procedures.
Ensure that register terminal is in working order and is ready to perform adequately during shift.
Open snack bar and ensure that adequate stock is on hand and in position to operate snack bar prior to theater opening. Assist in periodic inventories as directed.
Rings in snack bar sales by individual items as marked on register terminal, total sales, receives money, and makes change.
Is responsible for turning in receipts and daily activity reports (DARS) at the end of each shift.
