About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation on Ellsworth AFB.

This is a flexible work schedule with no minimum guaranteed hours; however, you may work up to 40 hours. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Must be knowledgeable in jobs involved in diagnosing malfunctions, determining repair needs, repairing and testing small engines.

Must have experience in the operation of electronic test equipment and a variety of hand tools. Must have experience in servicing fluid levels (oil, gas, batteries, etc).

Musty be physically able to frequently lift, handle, and carry objects weighing up to 40lbs, and with assistance, object up to 50lbs. Major Duties:

Drains and changes lubricants on small engines such as lawn mowers, gas edgers, boat motors.

Diagnoses malfunctions of equipment to determine the source of trouble and to determine the extent of repairs required, including electrical systems, geared units and components.

Maintains hazardous materials in accordance with Safety and HAZMAT requirements. Determines supplies and parts needed for repairs. Responsible for monthly and annual trailer and vehicle inspections.

Inspecting and repacking wheel bearings and repair brake lights on trailers. Maintains order in facility, enforces applicable fire, safety, and good housekeeping rules and regulations.

Performs cleanup duties as required. Keeps tools and equipment in good condition by periodic and preventive maintenance. Assists manager with Hazmat program. Performs other duties as assigned.
