This job involves making traffic signs for roads across Pennsylvania, using machines to print, cut, and assemble them to help keep drivers safe.
You'll operate equipment like silk screen printers and forklifts in a shop setting, working regular daytime hours without remote options.
It's a great fit for someone with hands-on experience in manufacturing or sign production who enjoys teamwork and contributing to public safety.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the production of traffic signs utilized by the County Maintenance Districts.
Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating silk screening equipment, as well as handling various tools and machines such as sheet metal shears, roller covering machines, and equipment for base coat painting, automatic punching, die cutting, and cornering.
You will also assist in the mixing and application of paint through the silk screen process, ensuring that the signs meet quality standards.
Furthermore, you will be involved in the layout and application of letters and figures on directional signs, while also supporting the setup, adjustment, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of the equipment used in these processes.
Additionally, you will have the chance to operate forklifts as part of your daily responsibilities, enhancing your skill set and contributing to the efficient workflow of the manufacturing process.
