Job Description

Summary

This job involves working as a safety expert on naval ships at a refit facility in Washington, where you'll spot and fix potential hazards, manage fire and damage control programs, and ensure all safety rules are followed during ship maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • Skills in resolving environmental and hazardous effects on ship equipment, incorporating past complaints or violations into improved processes

You will serve as a SHIP SAFETY SPECIALIST in the WORK CONTROL GROUP DIVISION, of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12899551-26-FAA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with planning, scheduling and coordinating a fire safety, firefighting and/or damage control equipment program.
