Why It's a Great Opportunity: In this role the IT division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Systems Analyst to join the team.
In this key role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing commercial (CoTS/SaaS) solutions that support and enhance the way the County operates.
You will work on large-scale system implementation projects as well as serving as the administrator of highly configurable SaaS applications.
The Information Technology Division’s 130 staff are responsible for building, operating, and maintaining the technologies that power essential public services in Pierce County. We provide diverse technology solutions including commercial applications, geographic information systems, and sophisticated custom software, supported by a robust hybrid infrastructure combining both on-premises and cloud-based platforms, and all secured by a reliable network. Finance staff provide a broad portfolio of high-impact, countywide services, including budgeting and performance management, fiscal services, procurement and contracting, information technology, general services, fleet services, and risk management.

How to be Successful in the Role: Your success will come from utilizing your strong expertise in complex systems, problem-solving, customer service, advanced configurations, report creation, management of SaaS or similar applications, and experience in scripting or coding.
You will also work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, guiding them in evaluating their needs and helping them make informed decisions, business needs, streamline processes, and ensure the seamless integration of technology solutions.

Core daily responsibilities:
Work with technologists, system designers, and programmers to research and determine technical solutions to enterprise applications and infrastructure; develop the plan, method, design and analysis for its execution; complete the configuration, integration and data migration; and perform the implementation of the application.
Review and assess 3rd party software solutions.
