The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the Director for Mission Support for all Joint Personnel Recovery Agency-West (JPRA-W) and Personnel Recovery Academy (PRA) assets located at White Bluff/Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington; Naval Air Station North Island, California; and Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina.

This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS).

The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level.

The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. 2.

Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.

Employees must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. 3.

The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. 4. Overtime may be required as workload demands. 5.

Non-standard work hours may be required. 6.

Mission Essential: This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission -Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.

Ref: AFI36-129, dated 17 May 2019. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

DUTIES Plans, organizes, and oversees the Mission Support activities of PRA and JPRA-W, ensuring that the functions and activities within the agencies comply with legal, regulatory, and safety requirements while meeting PRA and JPRA needs.

Represents the agency with a variety of installation and functional area organizations, boards, and working groups.

Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other JPRA divisions, higher headquarters, Services, Joint Chiefs of Staff, DoD agencies, and servicing installation commanders and deputies to ensure the effective integration and operation of assigned programs.

Program Management. Plans, formulates and implements a wide variety of complex operational training support programs. Ensures the responsiveness and viability of assigned operational support programs.

Provides input and analysis in re-engineering services and facilities to accommodate dynamic customer requirements and application of technical innovations to intelligence based operational training.

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.

Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in consideration of skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and diversity objectives.
