Full Job Description

The incumbent serves as a Senior Interior Designer in the Office of Administrative Services (OAS), Internal Real Estate Division.

Location of position: GSA, Office of Administrative Services (OAS), Internal Real Estate Division, Philadelphia, PA.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $117,284.00 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is experience providing technical guidance and oversight of interior design and space planning projects.

Such experience must include: Overseeing and directing the development of interior design and space planning projects.

Monitoring and directing the technical execution of space planning/interior design program requirements. Executing complex interior design/space planning projects. Major Duties:

Develops and implements interior design concepts, standards, and specifications for office environments (layouts, furniture, fixtures, and finishes), ensuring designs meet federal and agency guidelines, partnering with Workplace Strategists on agency workplace strategy, future-of-work initiatives, and portfolio optimization.

Collaborates with the Portfolio Manager on project budgets, cost estimates, and funding projections for portfolio planning and execution, overseeing the full project lifecycle for interior design and workplace projects, including scoping, planning, coordination, execution, documentation, and close-out.

Serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for furniture and equipment purchases, enforcing regulatory compliance, overseeing contractor work, and confirming deliverables, and maintaining and updating a library of furniture plans, project files, and design documentation to ensure consistency, accessibility, and compliance.

Develops professional layouts, drawings, and presentations using relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.), and supporting documentation for reviews and briefings as well as, conducts site visits/inspections to ensure project specifications are met.

Monitoring project progress, including budgets and schedules, resolving issues, and proposing adjustments to meet performance, cost, and quality goals, also provides technical expertise on workplace standards, design policies, and best practices to senior leadership.
