Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning, directing and managing operations exercises; providing advice on aviation exercise policies and procedures; and assisting in the development of new approaches to the exercise program for the organization.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major Duties:

• Serves as an Air Planner and Aviation Exercise Requirements Specialist.
• Prepare and brief action officer and executive correspondence regarding aviation component training.
• Coordinate all aspects of aviation support, training requirements, and after-action review for exercises.
• Provide air scheduling information and coordinate with the air and space joint force providers.
• Provide aviation planning and execution of the Command's training and exercise program.
• Serve as a joint force aviation subject matter expert with ability to liaise with aviation force providers.
