Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-6. Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or 1 year graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping to manage and carry out security programs in the Navy Reserve, focusing on protecting sensitive information, people, and facilities from potential threats.
You'll handle tasks like briefing personnel on secure handling of classified data, evaluating security systems, and preparing reports to ensure everything follows government rules.

You will serve as a Security Specialist at the GG-09 grade level responisble for the implementation or execution of security programs with the objective of detecting and preventing security problems.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level of GG/GS-07.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Carry out assignments necessary to implement security throughout the activity to meet security program requirements; Identifying protection measures and operational efficiency and effectiveness for personnel, information and physical security programs in accordance with regulations and directives (ICD 704/705) Preparing security reports, correspondence, studies, and messages in final form for inclusions into files and or to customers; Executing policies and procedures required to manage Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
