The incumbent will be responsible for managing the planning, direction, and oversight of DSCA's security programs, to include Insider Threat, Counterintelligence (CI), and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP).
You may qualify at the GS-14 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: developing and managing an organization's security programs, to include Insider Threat, Counterintelligence (CI), and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Conducting analysis of information from various sources to identify, mitigate, and counter threats; developing and implementing security policies and training in compliance with national and departmental directives Providing expert security guidance to leadership and external partners.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
As a SECURITY SPECIALIST at the GS-0080-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Directing the analysis of multi-source information to identify, assess, and mitigate insider threats, and oversees inquiries into potential security vulnerabilities.
Developing and proposes agency-specific security standards and policies by analyzing national-level laws, goals, and directives.
Overseeing the design, implementation, and administration of a comprehensive security training and awareness program for all personnel.
Advising senior leadership on critical security matters and serves as DSCA's primary liaison with external security and intelligence partners.
