This job involves leading efforts to create and enforce security rules that protect sensitive government information, people, and facilities from threats to national security.
You'll review backgrounds to decide on security clearances and advise leaders on policy changes to keep things safe.

You will serve as a Security Specialist at the GG-13 grade level responsible for or the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying, preventing, and protecting information, personnel, facilities, operations, or material where the loss could pose a direct threat to national security.
This position is located at Suitland, MD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as: Maintaining the integrity and protection of highly sensitive information program.
Determine the suitability and security eligibility of individuals for entry and retention in sensitive and non-sensitive positions.
Review, evaluate, and adjudicate reports of investigations, personnel files, and other records to determine whether to grant, deny, revoke, suspend, or restrict security clearances consistent with national security and/or suitability issues.
