Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Managing, implementing, and monitoring Department of Defense (DoD) physical security standards for on and off-base facilities, personnel and resources.
Conducting full-spectrum risk management surveys in support of and coordinating security for on and off-post command functions and Distinguished Visitors (DVs).
Ensuring consideration of emergency management policies, principles and procedures during Operational Force Protection planning, assessment and analysis, and risk mitigation processes.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
As a SECURITY SPECIALIST at the GS-0080-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: Security Specialist responsible for implementing and managing the USTRANSCOM Physical Security Program.
Responsible for implementation, oversight, and centralized control of the coordinated USTRANSCOM Emergency Management (EM) Program.
Responsible for implementation, oversight, and coordination of the USTRANSCOM Workplace Violence Prevention and Response Program.
Serve as the command subject matter expert on Antiterrorism (AT) Program.
