Summary

This job involves managing security programs for a naval facility, including training staff on rules for protecting sensitive information and personnel, and ensuring contractors follow security guidelines.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the NAVAL OCEAN PROCESSING FACILITY DAM NECK.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating security rules and regulations to administer security programs, such as information security and personnel security, to include using National Background Investigative Services (NBIS) in the course of your duties.

  • You will provide a wide range of training and guidance to support DoD and DON directives and guidance.
  • You will formulate and implement security training and awareness programs.
  • You will ensure that security indoctrinations, refresher training, and debriefs support mission accomplishment and direction of higher authorities.
  • You will manage all facets of the Information and Personnel Security programs for General Service classified information.
  • You will draft doctrine; develop and implement policies and procedures for information and personnel security programs within the unit.
  • You will formulate and draft policy concerning Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) and Physical Security.
  • You will monitor the roles and responsibilities of contractors according to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual to ensure classified information within the scope of Naval Ocean Processing Facility (NOPF) is protected.
