The incumbent will be responsible for supporting all aspects of DMEA security operations, including personnel, information, physical, industrial, operations, and communications security, and security education.
You may qualify at the NH-03 if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service: Providing technical expertise in assignments requiring new theories or solutions to security problems.
Experience in coordinating security requirements and/or providing advice or assistance to all levels of leadership. Demonstrating highly developed skills in written and oral communication.
Experience with Microsoft Office needed to support Special Security Program requirements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
As a Security Specialist at the NH-0080-3 some of your typical work assignments may include: Function as the Special Security Officer (SSO) and Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO).
Exercise expert overall management of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP).
Responsible for providing guidance and enforcing SCI administrative, information, personnel, physical, communications, and Special Access Program security guidelines for DMEA.
Manages access control and intrusion detection systems, responding to and evaluating security alarms, developing system configurations, and administering changes as needed to administer access control configurations.
Performs on-site security evaluations, inspections, and special surveys of security procedures at DMEA to ensure regulatory guidance and command directives are met.
