The command, through its 67 military processing locations (Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS)/Remote Processing Stations (RPS)), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services.

Specialized Experience for GS-07: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as Resolving administrative and procedural issues with minimum supervision; Receiving and screening visitors and incoming calls to determine the nature of requests; Managing senior leadership calendars and schedules; Utilizing various software to produce official documents, reports, and correspondence.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
