This job is for a secretary supporting the commanding officer at a naval chaplaincy school in Rhode Island, handling tasks like preparing documents, managing schedules, screening mail, and arranging travel.

You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the NAVAL CHAPLAINCY SCHOOL (NCS) of NAVAL RELIGIOUS MINISTRIES LEARNING SI.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Possessing strong administrative skills, including the ability to manage non-routine assignments, coordinate internal and external work, and advise staff; 2) Preparing and editing correspondence, summarizing information, and using office automation software (Microsoft Office, records systems) to perform tasks like creating reports and handling complex documents; 3) Having familiarity with Navy-specific structures, policies, and procedures, as well as proficiency with office equipment and a high level of typing accuracy.
