Full Job Description

A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected The display of a salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as granting an entitlement to a higher rate of pay.

The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April to October, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 5th, 2026.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc.

(Includes Blueprint Reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Materials Measurement and Layout Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.

Perform masonry work such as construct, alter, modify or repair structures such pillars, mortar posts, framework, rafters, joists, insulation, sheet rock, paneling, doors, windows, flooring, and roofing.

Perform work on historic and non-historic structures using a full range of power and hand tools.

Plan, compute, and lay out projects and identify material needs and produce finished products with precise fits, accurate dimensions, and acceptable appearance.

Paint, decorate, and refinish a variety of interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and other facilities in addition to maintain, construct, repair, and alter a variety of masonry structures.

Operate a variety of mainteannce vehicles and lift up to 50 pounds.
